Electromagnetic Conductivity

Multi-depth Electromagnetic Conductivity Meters - CMD

The wide range of CMD electromagnetic conductivity meters is designed for depth surveys from 0.15 m to 60 m. This non-contact measurement method provides fast conductivity and inphase surveys under all field working conditions (also in very dry and glacial soil).

CMD - Main Applications

Geological exploration, geotechnical engineering, agriculture, archaeology, groundwater protection, environmental mapping, mineral exploration, metal object detection and infrastructure.

CMD Control Unit

Connection to the probe via a cable or via Bluetooth wireless technology . Five survey modes. Quick view of the mapping area (max. 15,000 points).

CMD - Various Models Available

CMD-MiniExplorer: three depth probe

Ranges 0.5/0.25 m, 1.0/0.5 m, 1.8/0.9 m for archaeology, agriculture and civil engineering, provides immediate assessment of the vertical gradient of conductivity.

CMD-Explorer: Three-depth probe

Ranges 2.2/1.1 m, 4.2/2.1 m, 6.7/3.3 m for a wide range of uses, with immediate evaluation of both vertical and horizontal conductivity changes.

CMD-MiniExplorer 6L: six depth probe

Ranges 0.3/0.15 m, 0.5/0.25 m, 0.8/0.4 m, 1.1/0.5 m, 1.6/0.8 m, 2.3/1.1 m for high resolution mapping and profile viewing.

CMD-Explorer 6L: Six depth probe

Ranges 0.9/0.45 m, 1.6/0.8 m, 2.4/1.2 m,3.7/1.85 m, 5.0/2.5 m, 6.3/3.15 m for high resolution mapping and profile viewing.

CMD-Tiny: probe with a depth

With range of 0.7 / 0.35 m for studies of objects very close to the surface in civil engineering, agriculture and archaeology.

CMD-1: Economical probe with a depth

With 1.5/0.75m range for archaeology, agriculture and detection of buried metal objects.

CMD-2: probe with a depth

With a range of 3.0/1.5 m, it is often used for corrosiveness risk assessment during pipeline construction and for construction site surveys.

CMD-4: probe with a depth

With 6.0/3.0m range with a wide range of uses (geological prospecting, environmental pollution mapping, raw material prospecting).

CMD-4/6: single depth

Variable depth range 6.0/3.0 m or 9.0/4.5 m for similar applications as CMD-4 with greatly improved range.

CMD-DUO: single depth

Probe carried by two people, variable depth range 15 / 7.5 m or 30 / 15 m or 60 / 30 m for surveying deeper structures (eroded areas, foundations, cavities).

Main features - CMD Electromagnetic Conductivity

The sensors carry 1, 3 or 6 receivers with excellent stability during changes in the surrounding temperature. This technology provides both high-resolution mapping of underground layers and graphical representation of the same in vertical profiles, giving very satisfactory results for a range of applications and tasks, whether the sensor is carried in the hand or on a vehicle.
Multi-depth range (0.15 - 60 m)
Standard or custom sensors (1 or 3 or 6 receivers)
Fast sampling rate (up to 10 Hz), good stability during outdoor temperature changes
Two Bluetooth communication channels (for the sensor or external GPS)
Real-time clock, quick view of the map of the surveyed area
Data download via cable or USB portable memory
One control unit for all sensors (black and white or color display)
Measurement in manual or continuous mode with GPS
Easy to use, possibility of control by a mobile phone application
Powered by rechargeable Li-Ion batteries (2-3 days of work on a charge)
Lightweight and robust construction
